Can’t afford a production house? I’ll make your Blu-Ray!” Check out my price list above and what other filmmakers have said.

I'll make your Blu-Ray

How it works:You send me your film in an HD video fileI can accept many different codecs in .mov...

How it works:

You send me your film in an HD video file
I can accept many different codecs in .mov format. Recently some filmmakers have taken a second step and encoded the film in mpeg (re:bluray friendly) and then sent it to me. Regardless, I cannot accept HDCam or any tape-based mediums. It must be a digital file. Contact me if you have any questions on acceptable formats.

You can send the file various ways…
Short filmmakers can often upload to my dropbox folder. For larger files, you can mail me an external hard drive or if you’re an LA local, drop it off to me in Los Feliz.

Note: You must send me EXACTLY what you want to play
For example: If you need 10 seconds of black before your film, your finished film file must include the 10 seconds of black on it. I cannot edit or trim your film or join together video files, etc.

What you get in return
Blu-rays are burned using top-of-the-line TDK Professional Disks. The front of the blu-rays look like this and each one comes in a protective case. These are unlabeled discs. I can label them with Sharpie marker if you like, or keep them unlabeled. If you seek out printed labels, I cannot help you. Again, this is for filmmakers in a pinch who need to screen their films cheaply.

How much does it cost?
Prices range, depending on the length of your film. See the price list for more info.

How will your film look?
I spot check all finished blu rays on my 55 inch HD TV to make sure they encode properly. I’ve never had a customer complain about image quality.

What is your Quality Control Process?
Every blu-ray that is burned goes through a verification process on my computer, to make sure all the data has been burned correctly. As mentioned above, I spot check all the discs to make sure they look correct. I do not, however, watch the films in their entirety. If you need that type of inspection, you should seek out a professional house. However - if you somehow got a disc that had an error on it and the error is my fault (ie. The file you gave me didn’t have the error on it.). I will gladly burn you a new one immediately - free of charge, with free shipping.

What kind of menu will it have?
It will simply say “PLAY” over a black background. If you need a bunch of special features and different backgrounds, etc. I’m not your guy. This service is aimed at filmmakers who simply need to screen in HD and need to do it economically.

What about Chapter Stops?
If you’re looking for a bluray with 30 chapter stops, unfortunately, I’m not your guy. But, if you need a few, I can do that.

Can I do 5.1 audio?
Yep. But, you must be able to supply a 5.1 .ac3 audio track. If you don’t have one, you can create one using Apple’s compressor program. I do not have a 5.1 speaker setup, so you must check and make sure your 5.1 .ac3 is correct. IF YOU CANNOT provide a 5.1 .ac3 track, I CAN convert it for you, but that costs extra. Please contact me.

Payments
Your choice. I can send you an Amazon Payment invoice and you can pay via debit/credit card online or if picking up in person, you can pay by cash.

IMPORTANT NOTE!
This service is for filmmakers ONLY! Everyone in my clients list are filmmakers who could not afford the costs of a giant production facility. If you are someone looking to duplicate copy written material, etc. I’m not your guy.

Interested? Email me with the following information:
* How long is your film?
* What format is it in?
* How many copies do you need?
* When do you need them by?
* How will you be sending the film?

Wait…so, WHY DID I START THIS SERVICE?
When I tried to get my Sundance short film, “TUB” on Blu-Ray I was told that it would cost $250 to author the disc, then $25 each per Blu-Ray copy. Plus Tax. Plus Shipping. For a 12 minute film.

As someone who spent a ton of money financing the film and submitting to festivals, the idea of shelling out that much money made me depressed.

As with most filmmakers, I want my film to be displayed in the highest resolution possible. It cost $150 to get my film converted to HDCAM. But, a lot of theaters aren’t equipped to screen in that format, because HDCAM decks are really expensive.

Enter: Blu-Ray.

I wasn’t about to spend $275+ on one Blu-Ray. So, I bought my own burner and decided in order to recoup the expense of that…I would start offering a short film service to US filmmakers. Hence. I’llMakeYourBluRay.com

Why Trust Me?
I’ve made quite a few blurays from shorts to features and everyone’s been satisfied. You can see what others have said by clicking here. I’ve also sold things on ebay since 1998 and I have 100% positive feedback. I’m also easily trackable on the internet via my main site: TheBobbyMiller.com. Basically, I’m doing this to help filmmakers out and at the same time, try to recoup the cost of buying Blu-Ray media in bulk and a disk burner.
